Managing online exams during the pandemic
Running a train with thousands on board while also building the tracks in front of it is a unique challenge. Online exams during the pandemic were a bit like that. Exhilarating, nerve-wracking, but deeply satisfying when things worked as intended.
Designing the *Evolve* Program
*Evolve* is a program for kids, tweens and teens. It helps participants navigate complexity, think for themselves, and learn to listen, observe and question, among other things. Designing and running this program is one the of the most enjoyable and impactful things I have ever done.
Teaching Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
TOK is a unique program in the IB Diploma program that pushes teens to think about “how do we know what we know”. It involves thinking about how we construct knowledge, how that varies across subjects, and examining one’s biases. As enriching to teach as it is to learn! About TOK >>
Non Academic Research
Good decisions need good information, which is not always readily apparent or available. I’ve always enjoyed investigating and researching underlying ideas, information and data that allows organizations to make good decisions – to understand stakeholders, for new initiatives, products… makes me feel like a good detective cracking a messy case!
